Gibson Les Paul Standard 2003 Yamano Order Honeyburst Flametop OHSC
Up for grabs here is a stunning non-chambered Yamano ordered Gibson Les Paul Standard Honeyburst from 2003. This is a superb example of a Yamano, with a beautiful Honeyburst flametop. Read up on these if you don’t already know… Yamano had a lot of sway in what guitars they got to pick due to the volume they imported from the USA to Japan from the 90’s to the mid 2000’s (a time which also coincided with some of Gibson’s finest work). It is said they had the pick of the bunch when it came to choosing the guitars they took back with them. This is one such guitar. It’s a stunning Standard. It was built in Gibson’s Nashville plant and finished on October 13th 2003, which is before Gibson introduced chambering on their standards (mid 2006) so yes, it’s non-chambered and again being a Yamano it’s a good weight at 4.2kg. It has a good feeling neck, relatively slim, sitting somewhere between a ’60 & ‘59 profile. There is still plenty of life in the frets (never had a refret so still has its fret end binding), the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. No problems either structurally or electrically. It is super clean with no notable blemishes, pretty amazing condition for an almost 20 year old Les Paul. It has been very well cared for. Nothing bad has ever happened to it with absolutely no breaks or repairs etc. Comes with its original Gibson HSC all working fine. Complete with original unused pickguard with all fittings. Pickguard has never been fitted so guitar has no holes. Has Yamano import booklet, pre-pack checklist with serial written on and Gibson booklet. This is a rare chance to get your hands on a top quality Yamano hand-selected Les Paul Standard with a really exceptional top, much better than your average Standard. This one made it to Japan, it’s a true Yamano.
We carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of actual guitar, we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
