Gibson Les Paul Standard 2003 Heritage Cherry Flametop Non-Chambered w/ HSC
Here we have a very nice Gibson Les Paul Standard figured Heritage Cherry sunburst from 2003. It has a beautiful Cherry flametop. It has a really good quality flame top with some mineral flecks and a nice defined carve. It was built in Gibson’s Nashville plant and finished on October 13th 2003, which is before Gibson introduced chambering on their standards (mid 2006) so yes, it’s non-chambered and a good weight at 4.2kg. We scored this one from Japan so it would have originally been a Yamano import, which Gibson will be able to verify via the serial number. You many even be able to get some Yamano documentation from them to go with the guitar. It's all original, the Burstbucker Pros sound amazing. It has a good feeling neck with a relatively thick '59 profile carve. There is still plenty of life in the frets (never had a refret so still has its fret end binding), the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. Never had a pickguard fitted so guitar has no holes. No problems either structurally or electrically. It is a 20 year old Les Paul so has some age related wear as you'd expect. Some light buckle wear on the back and th eod elite bump on the top. There isa little light residue coming from the back control panel where maybe contact cleaner has been sprayed into post and lightly reacted with the nitrocellulose lacquer. Nothing bad has ever happened to it with absolutely no breaks or repairs etc. Comes with nice red lined Gibson HSC all latches working fine. This is a rare chance to get your hands on a top quality Yamano hand-selected Les Paul Standard with a really exceptional top, much better than your average Standard.
At Gas Station Guitars we carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of actual guitars, all guitars are in hand and we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship worldwide to the USA, E.U, Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and of course the UK.
