Gibson Les Paul Standard 2001 Non-Chambered Honeyburst Plaintop Yamano
From back when Gibson were building superb Les Pauls, here is an absolutely gorgeous Yamano-ordered Gibson Les Paul Standard Honeyburst from 2001. It has a top quality feel to it and a top that wouldn’t be out of place on a Custom Shop 1958 Reissue as you'd expect from a Japanese Yamano order (please research Gibson's Yamano years if not familiar). The plaintop maple grain is really nice on this one. The binding and all the plastics have gracefully aged to cream. A lovely dark rosewood fingerboard with a comfortable solid '59 profile neck carve. It was built in Gibson’s USA Nashville plant and finished on may 12th 2001, which was before Gibson introduced chambering on their standards so yep, it’s non-chambered. There is still plenty of life in the frets (never had a refret so still has its fret end binding), the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. No problems either structurally or electrically. Good solid non-chambered weight of 4.1kg. It's had a black switch tip added and the original Gibson 490R/498T humbuckers replaced with sweet & articulate Gibson '57 Classics. A good upgrade. Nothing bad has ever happened to it with absolutely no breaks or repairs etc. Has a few little bumps on the top & some scuffing scratches on the back. Comes with original period correct Gibson tan HSC with pink silk shroud which is in great condition. A rare chance to get your hands on a top quality Les Paul Standard from the great Gibson years.

We carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of the actual guitars, we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
