Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop Historic 1974 Les Paul Custom Reissue Heavy Aged

Here we have a very rare Gibson Custom Shop 1974 Heavy Aged Les Paul Custom from 2019. This scarce Custom shop build was made especially for the Japanese domestic market and was never available to buy outside of Japan. Dating from before the mass processed Murphy Lab guitars, Gibson gave this model its superb relic finish by hand. It's one of the best examples we have seen of a Gibson in-house heavy relic. This particular guitar was purchased by a Japanese collector but it suffered a cracked headstock. It was repaired by a top Japanese luthier and is a top quality rock solid repair. In keeping with the vibe of the unique heavy aged finish on the guitar the original owner and luthier agreed to make the repair an added feature of the relic finish as opposed to the usual method of trying to smooth/hide/disguise it like you would a normal headstock repair. It works and actually adds an air of authenticity to the guitar in much the same way as the headstock repair does on legendary guitars such as 'Greenie'. Anyway the guitar has a great feeling 60’s profile neck with a dark Ebony  fingerboard (not richlite). It is a superb resonant player with an excellent action and is weighs in at a good solid 4.5kg. It is complete with case candy, inc medallion and certificate of authenticity booklet. No issues at all, no modifications, it is in fully original condition. Comes with original historic Lifton style Gibson Custom hardshell case.  A superb limited edition Custom Shop Custom in every respect.
