Gibson Les Paul Classic Vintage 1993 Japan Yamano Ink Stamped Heritage Cherry
Here is a stunning old non-chambered Gibson Les Paul Heritage Cherry Classic from 1993. The 90’s Classics are phenomenal guitars & what makes this one even more special is that it's a Yamano order, selected for export to Japan (please read up on the Yamano Gibsons if you are not familiar with them). It's one of the earliest Classics you will see, from way back when they were ink stamped. We don't actually come across many Heritage Cherry plaintop classics from this period, most are highly flamed. It looks and plays fantastic with some beautiful natural ageing all over... It has aged gracefully, the plastics and binding have turned a very deep yellow and the metal hardware has taken on a tarnished grey patina. It’s got all the great looking ageing with none of the bad stuff and is well along the road to being a real vintage stunner. It’s three decades old now so there is obviously some playwear, but its is very light, little bumps and scuffs, some wear around the headstock edges etc, which all adds to the appeal on this one. Being a Classic it has a thin 60’s neck and weighs in at 4.5kg. There is plenty of life in the frets which have never been replaced so still have their fret-end binding intact, the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. Has its original pickups which sound great. No problems structurally or electrically. Absolutely no history of breaks or repairs. Why anyone would choose a sterile new Les Paul over a beautiful old worn in guitar like this I will never understand. Complete with original 1990’s Tan Gibson HSC with pink lining and silk shroud. Worn but all latches fine and combi-lock are working with no problems. Also with its Japanese Yamano booklet. A very special 60's Gibson Les Paul Heritage Cherry Classic from the great Classic years.
We carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of actual guitar, we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
