Gibson Les Paul Classic 2003 Goldtop Yamano Order w/ OHSC & Docs
Up for grabs here is this really nice vintage non-chambered Gibson Yamano Order Les Paul Classic Goldtop (Bullion Gold) from 2003, back when they were ink-stamping the Classic headstocks. The 90’s & early 00's classics are fantastic guitars and this is no exception. It’s true what they say about them, alongside from how the play and sound, they are amazing looking guitars. This one has a deep Bullion gold finish with an almost reddish hue. A really lovely looking Goldtop. It has absolutely no breaks or repairs. Being a Classic it has a 60’s neck and it weighs in at a very healthy 4.1kg. Lots of life in the frets, the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. Has its original pickups which sound great. No problems structurally or electrically. It’s a almost 2 decades old now so there is obviously some playwear, but nothing harsh or ugly, just the signs of ageing you want like some really nice natural checking lines in the lacquer, that kind of thing. As mentioned above goldtop finish has darkened nicely over the decades, as have white plastics, the binding has aged to a deep yellow and the metal hardware has taken on a tarnished grey patina. It’s got all the good ageing with none of the bad stuff and is well along the road to being a real vintage stunner. Any little white specs you can see are just case dust. It still has its original ‘1960’ Classic cream pickguard and ‘Classic’ bell TRC. Why anyone would choose a sterile new Les Paul over a beautiful old worn in Classic Goldtop like this I will never understand. Complete with original 1990’s Tan Gibson HSC with pink lining and silk shroud and Japanese Yamano booklet. All latches fine and combi-lock is working with no problems. A beautiful 60's Gibson Les Paul Classic from the great Classic years.
