FujiGen Very Rare Japan Only PP3-550 Japanese Offset Goodness!
Really cool FujiGen PP3-550. I love it when we find these! They don't come up often and are much loved by some our favourite Japanese punk bands such as Shonen Knife. They were only made for a brief spell and sold in Japan around 1990'ish. It has a super cool offset body shape & very light basswood body (this one weighs just 2.8kg!) with the fabulous weird matted finish all these seem to have. It has a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard with something approaching a 10"or 12" radius (it's very flat). This is small AND light so if you are lumberjack-sized you're probably gonna look pretty stupid playing it. But it's easy to play and sits comfortably. Sounds great - kinda Telecastery. Body shape is like nothing else, the closest I can think is an Airline '59. I also really love the FujiGen logo design on the headstock with these. Condition-wise it just has light playwear, some little bumps & scuffs, whatever this finish is it's super durable. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. No modifications. Plays beautifully as you'd expect. Complete with fitted generic gigbag. All round great guitar. Very Japanese. Very punk rock. What more could you want?
