Fender Vintage 1991 FujiGen Stratocaster 1962 RI Olympic White Kurt Cobain

Here we have a very cool vintage Fender 1962 Reissue Stratocaster in Olympic White finish (ST62-TX). It’s an early Fender Japan Strat built at the legendary FujiGen plant (its an MIJ L-Serial, 1991-92). This is exactly the same model as the first Oly white Strat Kurt played on tour with L7 back in 1990. He played this model with on & off with Nirvana from around 1990 -’92 (they became his disposable strats). The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, still plenty of life left in the frets. Very resonant with a dark and dense slab rosewood fingerboard (7.25 radius). Fender Stamped steel saddles and FujiGen-era Fender stamped neckplate. It still has 2 x original Texas Special pickups and one has been replace by a DiMarzio DP117. Structurally and electrically sound. Pretty clean overall for the age. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. Good weight at 3.5kg. Complete with original period correct Fender Japan gigbag. A very cool timewarp ’62 RI MIJ Strat.
