Fender Telecaster Unique Fully Bound Maple '62 Custom 'Order Made' TL62B-800 Fuj
Here is a very rare 1987 Fender Japan ‘Order Made’ FujiGen built 1962 Maple Custom Reissue Telecaster. It’s an A-Serial and was built for Fender in the renowned FujiGen plant’s Custom Shop department. It is a true ‘order made’ & most closely resembles a TL62B. But it is has a separate maple top and bottom with what looks like solid maple in between with great looking naturally aged white double body binding. Both the body cavity & neck has the correct ‘Order Made’ stamp. It calls itself a TL62B-800, something in all our years of specalising in rare Japanese Fenders we have never heard of. It closely resembeles an Albert Collins in looks but feels nothing like it. If you are looking for a solid Japanese Fender investment piece you will no go wrong here, it could very well be the only one in existence. The rest of the specs are, maple neck and 7.25 radius dark rosewood fingerboard. It has the A serial stamped bridge with 3 brass saddles and vintage Fujigen ‘Fender’ stamped neck plate. It’s fitted with great sounding factory installed pickups they look like TL vintage. Weight is nice and light at 3.5kg. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine and plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks, repairs or routing. Complete period correct softcase. All in all a very cool vintage 33-year old Fender Japan Order made FujiGen Tele. Quite possibly a one-off. We ship to the U.S, Canada, Australia, Europe and of course the UK.
