I love this one. Vintage 1980’s Fender Sen-Ash 1971 reissue Telecaster. It’s an I-Serial which puts the build date between 1989-’90 at the legendary FujiGen plant in Japan. There is no neck pencil scribble on this one to give exact date. It’s is a killer player & has the vintage looks going on. The clearcoat over the beautiful Sen Ash body is darkening to give it more of a Butterscotch Blonde look with some nice thick Sen grain visible underneath, all offset by the 3-ply black guard. It is superlight for a 1980's ash Telecaster at 3.3kg! Very resonant and feels great to play, plenty of Tele twang and some real bite. I spent over an hour playing this and didn’t want to put it down! Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks, repairs or routing. Very clean for the age with no big paint chips, which is pretty amazing. The metal hardware has taken on a nice lightly oxidised look with adds to the vintage feel. Nothing bad has ever happened to it. Just gentle natural ageing. Any shiny white spots you see in the pics are just the reflection from overhead spotlights. Definitely one of the coolest MIJ E-serial Teles we’ve had in a while. Complete with softcase. Don't miss it, once it’s gone it’s gone.
