Fender Mustang '69 Reissue MIJ T-Serial 2007 Non-Cat Solid Old Lake Placid Blue
Here is a very cool '69 Reissue T-Serial MIJ (2007) Old Lake Placid Blue Fender Mustang. Only the third one we have ever had at Gas Station Guitars. We get the occasional MIJ/CIJ LPB competition Mustangs but to find a true factory solid LPB non-comp Japanese Mustang is rare, and trust us on this, we get a LOT of Japanese Mustangs! It’s killer looking guitar, it looks kinda weird with no comp stripes, like a naked Teen Spirit Mustang. Anyway, like all MIJ/CIJ Mustangs it's true to the vintage Fender spec, with the '69 contoured body, 7.25 radius rosewood fingerboard, white button tuners, 3-ply pickguard and F stamped neckplate. It plays well, very resonant with plenty of Mustang attitude. The dark rosewood fingerboard is beautifully grained and the neck shows some nice defined maple grain up and down right through to the top of the headstock. There are no mods, breaks or repairs. Neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. It's very clean, no paint chips or anything harsh. Weight is 3.2kg. Built immaculately as you'd expect from Fender Japan. A very cool ‘69 vintage specification Mustang in a rare finish that's been extremely well looked after. Complete with tremolo arm and mustang hard case with key.
