Fender MEDIUM SCALE 1962 Reissue Alder Maple Jazz Bass MIJ Q-Serial FujiGen 1993
Here's some cool vintage medium scale goodness! It's a rare early 90's short scale Fender '62 Jazz Precision Bass in Olympic White finish in scarce 32' scale. The bass is an old grunge-era MIJ Q-Serial from the 1993-94 period, built for Fender at the legendary FujiGen Gakki in Japan. It has an alder body with a very dark slab Indian rosewood fingerboard and maple neck & headstock. The Oly white finish is been relic processed and is offset with the cool original FujiGen era three-ply red tort pickguard. Feels very comfortable to play. Great sounding punchy pups. Neck straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life in the frets. being short scale it's a bit lighter at 3.7kg. It’s a quarter of a century old now so obviously not mint in any sense, it has all the natural and processed ageing you can see in the pics. All in all a beautifully crafted old Japanese Fender beauty with plenty of vintage vibe. Complete with gigbag. If you are looking for a scare vintage FujiGen-era Fender Japan medium scale J-bass this is the one.
