Fender Kurt Cobain Original 1990 Fender Japan ‘Vandalism’ Stratocaster' MIJ
Here is a very cool looking Fender Japan K-Serial Stratocaster, one of the best relic examples of this model we have had through the doors at GSG. Forget all the replicas made from Squiers and Mexican guitars. The general consensus is that Kurt Cobain's Vandalism Strat was a black 1980's Japanese Fender FujiGen-built Stratocaster. This is right-handed not left, but it is basically the exact model that Kurt played. It's from 1990 so a little later than Kurt's Strat but built in the same factory probably by the same Japanese luthiers. This has been relic processed to within a n inch of Kurts Strat. It is a rare chance to get the correct model. It plays beautifully with a good action. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, still plenty of life left in the frets. Very resonant with a dark and dense slab rosewood fingerboard (7.25 radius). No breaks or repairs. Weight 3.5kg. Complete with vintage Japanese leatherette gig bag. Don't miss this one as these original Fender Japan Vandalism Strats don't come up often.
