Fender Japanese Candy Apple Red 12 String XII Stratocaster w/ Hardcase
Up for grabs is this scarce Fender 12 String XII Stratocaster in factory Candy Apple Red finish with matching headstock. We do not find many at al in this finish. This is the only CAR XII we have ever had at GSG. Most you will see are sunburst. It's also a CIJ N Serial. It's a bit of a rarity in that it looks like it was built at FujiGen Gakki and given an N-serial number but possibly held back or carried over to the CIJ period of manufacture and later given a CIJ prefix. We have had a few of these transition CIJ N-serials before which straddle the crossover period of FujiGen and Tokai. A pretty cool MIJ/CIJ quirk. Anyway it's probably from somewhere around the 1992-1995 period. Anyway, it’s a great looking 12- String and being Japanese-built you can expect top quality fit and finish. It has a beautiful dark streaked rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25 radius and 3-ply cream pickguard. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine with plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. No modifications. It’s in clean condition for at the period with just one or two small bumps and some scuffing on the pickguard etc. Complete with hardcase. A beautifully built 12-String Strat.
