Fender Japan Very Rare Order Made 1969 RI Stars And Stripes Telecaster 1980's
Here we have a bit of a superstar! This exact guitar is featured in the current (August 2022) edition of 'Guitarist' magazine on page 78! It is a very rare and we are fairly sure (after specialising in MIJ Fenders for a long time) it’s the only one that has ever been sold outside of Japan (but feel free to correct me). It’s a FujiGen ‘Order Made’ Fender ’69 Reissue factory finished ‘Stars and Stripes’ from the mid 80’s (MIJ E-Serial). We have never seen or heard of another factory finished Stars & Stripes ’69 from Fender Japan. This beautiful guitar was constructed for Fender at the legendary Fuji-Gen Gakki. There’s no date scribble on the neck heel but it’s a true mid 80’s built E-Serial with the big ‘F’ Stamped neckplate. It has aged gracefully with just a few light bumps and scuffs. The white areas have now yellowed. It looks good. There is a little bubble of lifting of the star pattern on the underside of the pickguard near the top. A very nice action and plenty of twang courtesy of the 3 saddles which like all the metal wear are covered in a nice natural vintage patina. It’s all factory correct with no mods. Nothing bad has ever happened to it with no damage, breaks or repairs. The maple neck is dead straight, truss rod fine and the frets have got years left in them. Weight is 3.7kg. Comes with the generic tele HSC. Don't miss it, you will never get a shot at this one again.
We carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of the actual guitars, we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
