Fender Japan Telecaster '72 Reissue Vintage 1991 'Order Made' FujiGen I-Serial
Lovely old grunge-era Fender FujiGen 'Order-Made' 1972 RI Telecaster from 1991 (MIJ I-Serial). I love these old FujiGen Teles but we have never found one quite like this, The closest I have see are the limited Charcoal Burst models from this period. I think original order was for a Walnut stain look with this one. It was designed & built to order at FujiGen with the 'Order Made' stamps on the neck and in the neck pocket on the body. It looks pretty cool and feels great to play, a good Tele weight at dead on 3.4kg. Very resonant, with equal measures warmth & brightness. We've never seen another quite like it. This old warrior has got it’s original USA TL Vintage pickups, which sound great, quite hot. Neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. It’s in good condition for such an old tele, but does have some paint nicks on the body. The rest of the finish has dulled over the decades. All the metal hardware is nicely worn in. It looks like its had the pots upgraded. Complete with original period correct Fender gig bag and hard to find Fender Japan documents. Like all the 'Order Made' guitars built for Fender at Fujigen this will increase in value. Don't miss it!
At Gas Station Guitars we carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of actual guitars, all guitars are in hand and we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship worldwide to the USA, E.U, Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and of course the UK.
