Fender Japan Stratocaster 1972 Reissue CIJ O-Serial 1997 All Black
Here is a cool old late 1990’s Piano Black 1972 Reissue Fender Stratocaster built to a very high standard by Fender Japan. It’s a CIJ O-Serial dating it from 1997-2000 (no pencil date on neck heel). It has a great feeling Sen ash body, with slab rosewood 7.25 radius fingerboard. The finish looks very nice and works well with the black three-ply pickguard. All factory correct with 6 saddles, 2 string trees, F-Stamped 3 bolt neck plate, thinner neck with skunk stripe, large resonant 70’s headstock with bullet truss rod access, Gotoh tuners & and all black plastic hardware. Really resonant unplugged and feels great to play, plenty of bite in the USA made single coils. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No breaks, repairs, routing or modifications save for some pickguard screws that may have been replaced over the decades. It weighs in at 3.7kg. Some playwear as you’d expect for the age, some scuffing and knocks, a little feelable separation of the glue on part of the skunk stripe, but solid and structurally fine. It’s getting hard to pick up these all black ST72s now, they are amazing guitars. Complete with gigbag, no trem arm, but threaded 5mm arms can be picked up for pennies. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK. Don't miss it, once it’s gone it’s gone.
