Fender Japan Only 1966 Reissue Jazzmaster 2010 Jupiter Blue with Competition
Here is a very cool discontinued Fender Japan Jazzmaster in super rare factory finished Jupiter Blue with Vintage White competition stripes from 2010-11 (MIJ U-Serial). This is a scarce factory finish for Fender Japan and they were never made for export outside of Japan. There aren't many out there. I'm pretty sure it is based on Hisako's Jazzmaster from the Japanese anime series 'Angel Beats', but I could be wrong. Anyway, outside of the rarity value this one is an absolute beast. A perfect playing Jazzmaster. It is a 1966 reissue with top quality lightweight alder body, dense Indian rosewood fingerboard (vintage 7.25 radius) with some nice light dark streaking, maple neck and 3-ply white pearl pickguard. The maple neck and headstock look good on this one, tinted very dark with some nice grain patterns showing all over. Really resonant and feels great to play. All still factory spec with no mods or repairs. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. Weight nice and light for an alder Jazzmaster at 3.6kg. So if you like sterile Mexican Fenders please stop right now & go to your local guitar shop. This is around 12 years old and has been played, it has plenty of scuffs, scratches and bumps and a big paint chip on the side of the body. It's definitely not shop floor condition. However its very rare and very cool and you aint gonna find one in your local shop. A great looking and playing Jazzmaster and also a good investment. Complete with tremolo arm, and Fender Japan gig bag.
At Gas Station Guitars we carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of actual guitars, all guitars are in hand and we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks.
