Fender Japan Jaguar 1966 RI Old Candy Apple Red w/ Matching Headstock 2005 CIJ

Up for grabs today with have this very nice CIJ 1966 reissue Fender Jaguar in factory Old Candy Apple Red with matching headstock. It’s a Japanese Fender, not Mexican, so you can expect superb build quality coupled with vintage specs.  It was built during the 2005-06 period (CIJ S-Serial). This Jag has the sought-after dark factory OCAR finish with a top quality alder body & 3-ply mint pickguard, we don’t tend to find this finish much anymore, it wasn't used on as many guitars as the usual brighter Candy Apple Red. It has a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard (not pau ferro). The fingerboard has a vintage spec 7.25 radius, just as it should be. Very resonant and feels great to play. Neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No breaks or repairs. Weight is 3.7kg. There is some light signs of playwear but no paint ships or anything like that, it's a lot better than we usually find from this period.  The floating tremolo collet has been replaced for a smaller diameter tremolo arm which makes for less swinging. The strap pins have also been replaced. Other wise in 100% original condition. Sounds and plays great with a very smooth action. Complete with tremolo arm & Fender branded softcase. A great looking & playing vintage spec CIJ Fender Jaguar. Definitely a keeper!
