Fender Japan Grunge-Era 1962 RI Dakota Red Heavy Relic Stratocaster 1994 FujiGen
Cool old Fender Japan 1962 RI Stratocaster. This one has had what would have been a thick poly coating stripped off and refinished in Dakota Red nitrocellulose lacquer and heavy relic processed. It’s from the 1994-95 period (MIJ T-serial number) has a resonant body with dark Indian slab rosewood fingerboard, 4-bolt neck plate, Fender stamped steel saddles and 3 x killer sounding USA Texas Special single coil pickups. The maple neck is comfortable with a vintage 7.25" radius slab rosewood fingerboard and relic processed 3-ply white pickguard. The maple used for the neck and fingerboard has naturally darkened giving it a real vintage vibe. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine and plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. Weight is 3.4kg. No structural or electrical issues. If you’re not interested in Mexican guitars and after something a bit special this is the one for you. A great chance to pick up a quality built Fender Japan relic. Complete with replacement tremolo arm and softcase.
At Gas Station Guitars we carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of actual guitars, all guitars are in hand and we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship worldwide to the USA, E.U, Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and of course the UK
