Fender Japan 1966 RI Jazzmaster Mid 90's Grunge Era Mojo Beast! Sunburst

Awesome vintage FujiGen built Fender Jazzmaster in factory finished 3 tone Sunburst from a golden age of Fender Japan production. There were not many Fender Japan '66 RI Jazzmasters built at FujiGen Gakki; production only really ramped up on offsets at the beginning of the CIJ period. This one is an absolute mojo monster. It's a 1966 Reissue MIJ U-Serial (1995-96) with alder body, rosewood fretboard and maple neck with it's original 3-ply red tort FujiGen-era pickguard. The headstock has the Pre-CBS style "Spaghetti" Jazzmaster logo, with Kluson-style tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The “Made in Japan” text and MIJ (1st) U-prefix serial are present above the four-bolt neck plate, and the factory JM66-65 model stamps are present in the neck pocket and on the heel. The dark rosewood fretboard has a vintage-spec 7 1/4" radius with dot inlays and slender fretwire that's in good shape, showing only moderate wear, there is still plenty of life left in them. The neck is dead straight and the truss rod is fine. Electrically sound with both circuits working. It's all still factory spec save for a Mustang bridge which has been dropped in for extra string stability (a common & sensible mod, easily reversable). Neck is dead straight, truss rod fine & plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. Now this thing looks awesome, with tons of real age wear and a darkening and dull glazed look to the finish, but if you’re looking or a sterile shop floor Mexican Fender she aint for you. There's plenty of natural relicing in the form of bumps, scratches & bruises everywhere. The metal hardware is tarnished and all the plastics have yellowed, to us it looks perfect! Electrically sound with both circuits working. The top horn strap pin has been moved at some point so a small screw hole next to the original one. No issues at all. No breaks, repairs or routing. It is of course complete with trem arm & gig bag. All in all a very cool '66 RI quality built FujiGen Fender Jazzmaster.
