Fender Japan 1962 RI Custom Telecaster 1997 Three Tone Sunburst CIJ Japan USA

Top of the line 1962 Reissue Custom Telecaster from Fender Japan (this is not a Mexican guitar). It's in a beautiful deep warm three tone sunburst with white body binding. It’s a nice CIJ A-Serial from 1997-1998 with a quality lightweight alder body, big sounding factory fitted USA Texas Specials, 3-ply cream pickguard & 3 spiral saddles. As it is a circa 1997 CIJ A-serial built for Fender by Tokai the serial number is engraved on the bridge plate which can be seen in the 9th picture. Some really nice tonewoods were used for this one. Nice looking & feeling slab rosewood fingerboard with 7.25 radius. It looks great with the body binding nicely yellowed with age (which always looks good on these). Sonically the Texas Special pickups sound great. Really resonant too when unplugged and feels great to play. Weight is very light for an old Alder Tele custom at 3.4kg. Structurally and electrically sound. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. No issues at all. The white specs you see are just dust. No breaks or repairs. All 100% original. Pre-owned so does have a little playwear, but nothing horrendous with no big paint chips etc. Complete with softcase A very cool Fender MIJ ’62 Custom reissue Three Tone Sunburst Custom Telecaster.
