Fender Japan 1962 Reissue Jazz Bass MIJ N-Serial FujiGen 1993 Grunge Era
Here is very nice vintage Fender Japan '62 Jazz Precision Bass in naturally aged classic Three Tone Sunburst. Being a Japanese Fender you know you are not going to get better build quality outside the Custom Shop. It’s an old grunge-era MIJ N-Serial (+6 digits) from 1993-94 built for Fender at the legendary FujiGen Gakki. It has a superb quality alder body with a very dark slab Indian rosewood fingerboard and maple neck & headstock. The three-tone sunburst is ageing beautifully offset with the cool original FujiGen era three-ply red tort pickguard. These were all poly finished but this finish feels very thin. Feels very comfortable to play. Great sounding pups. Neck straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life in the frets. Weight 4.2kg. It’s a quarter of a century old now so obviously not mint, it has some playwear, a few very small finish nicks here & there & a little buckle rash on the back, but very clean overall for such an old J-bass. A beautifully crafted old Japanese Fender warrior with plenty of vintage vibe. Complete with period correct Fender Japan bass bag. If you are looking for a cool naturally worn-in vintage Fender Japan J-bass this is the one.
At Gas Station Guitars we carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of actual guitars, all guitars are in hand and we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship worldwide to the USA, E.U, Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and of course the UK.
