Fender Japan 1962 Reissue Alder Maple Jazz Bass Three Tone Sunburst CIJ P-Serial
Here is a sweet Fender Japan ’62 RI Fender Jazz Bass in very nice three tone sunburst finish. It’s a CIJ P-Serial dating from the 1999-2002 period. Please note that this is a quality crafted Japanese Fender, not a cheaper Mexican model. Structurally and electrically sound. Alder body with some nice grain showing under the sunburst finish. Neck dead straight, beautiful dark and dense rosewood fingerboard, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. No modifications, it’s all factory stock. It has a superb quality alder body with a dull nitro-looking glaze all over, not the usual shiny poly finish (although it probably is poly). Has a slab Indian rosewood fingerboard and maple neck & headstock. The three-tone sunburst is still bold and bright offset with the cool original three-ply Red tort pickguard. Feels very comfortable to play. Great sounding punchy pups. Neck straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life in the frets. Average weight for an alder Jazz bass at 4.2kg. In nice used condition, it has some playwear, a few bumps & paint chips around the edges, pretty much average for a 20-year played bass. Complete with bass bag. This is a beautiful looking bass.
