This is something we don't see often. It is a very early mid 1980’s Fender Japan (MIJ C-Serial, 1985-86) FujiGen built & factory scalloped 1972 Reissue Stratocaster, which I believe was based by Fender on Yngwie Malmsteens Strat. Production number 72-86 DSC on both body and neck. It is basically the Malmsteen Strat but it pre-dates Fender’s MIJ Malmsteen signature model, which I think was officially introduced around 1988. There is no evidence of any signature models built before 1988.  Anyway, the maple fingerboard is fully factory scalloped and the faded Oly White is spot on with the correct white 3-ply scratchplate. There are a few noticeable differences with the Malmsteen Signature. The pickups here I think are ST-Singles and the nut is plastic (not brass). Otherwise it’s pretty accurate. Structurally and electrically sound. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine and plenty of life in the frets. Some playwear as you’d expect considering the age, with some dings & scuffing here & there. An astoundingly well put together Strat as you'd expect from a FujiGen Fender. Complete with the original period correct Fender gig-bag, tremolo arm, and Fender Japanese manual. A rare one.

We carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special.  All pictures are of the actual guitars, we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
