Fender 1970's RI Precision Bass CIJ O-Serial 1997 Capri Orange MIJ Japan
Here is a pretty rare Fender 1970's Reissue factory order ‘Capri Orange Fender Precision Bass. This in not a refin, it a Fender non-catalogue colour and would have probably been a factory special order or one of a very limited Fender Japan past run. It's a CIJ O-Serial which puts the build date from 1997-2000. It's a Fender Japan (not cheaper Mexican). It’s a decent weight at 3.9kg. Smooth sounding JB Single pups. Original 3-ply white pickguard. Neck straight, truss rod working, plenty of life in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. It has some playwear as you’d expect for a 20-year old Fender bass. The metal has taken on a nice dull vintage grey patina. There is some playwear on the body, the most notablebeing apaint chip on the bottom. But it’s all good mojo with this one. Nothing bad has ever happened to it. Complete with gig-bag. Note: the pics were taken when the bass came in. It has now been cleaned up and restringed with new strings. A very cool P-bass in a pretty rare colour. All our Japanese Fenders in gig bags are shipped inside their HSC/gig bags in padded purpose designed tough durable bass/guitar boxes.
