Epiphone Vintage 1993 Casino Electric Guitar Rare Cherry Red Pre-Elitist w/ Case

Here we have a beautiful looking Cherry Red Casino, this is not a finish we see too often on these Terada built Casinos. We have only had one to two of these in over the years. It’s one of the essential rock & roll hollowbodies. These are the guitars that precede the modern Elitist line. Japanese Epiphone Casinos are consistently superb in our opinion, we have never had one we didn't love. The build quality is exceptional and to us, the Terada models feel like no other casinos. The modern Chinese guitars can't touch them. It’s a good solid Casino at 2.9kg with a very comfortable slender c profile maple neck with a 40mm nut width. As mentioned above, finding a Cherry 90's Japanese Terada Casino is almost unheard of. It is pretty clean with no big obvious dings or paint cracks/chips etc. A few light scratches, little nicks and just the kind of swirls in the finish you can only really see when angling the guitar to light. It is all original. The electronics are all untouched, with nickel pickup covers on the Maxon built P-90s and the reflector cap knobs on the Volume and Tone controls are all original. The nickel ABR-1 bridge has the correct "Made in Japan" text on the underside, and the orange oval label visible through the F hole has the correct five digit serial for Terada factory production. This one still has its original white E branded 3-ply pickguard fitted and it also has factory fret-end binding with we don't often see on Casinos. The guitar is a stunner with some light uniform surface patina on the pickup covers, bridge, and trapeze tailpiece. There have obviously been absolutely no headstock breaks/cracks or repairs anywhere. It’s all original with no modifications. Neck is dead straight truss rod checked and functioning fine, plenty of life left in the frets. It’s also a very smooth player and those original dog ear P90s sound immense as usual. Comes with Epiphone HSC which is functioning fine with all latches working and key. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story, this is a beautiful old Japanese Casino with an unusual finish, and like all these old Japanese Terada models; a superb investment.
