You are looking at a truly amazing Japanese Epiphone Les Paul Standard tobacco burst flametop built in 2000 at the legendary FujiGen plant in Japan and only intended for domestic issue; they were never exported. This thing is a monster with amazing tone and superb action. These models were built to a very high standard and were available to the Japanese market only and have the very desirable (and long since discontinued) Gibson open book headstock, along with a long neck tenon and comfortable ’59 profile neck. It’s a really good weight at 4kg and has a superb looking photo flame top. The Epiphone PAFs have been upgraded to a Seymor Duncan APH-1n Alnico II Pro in the neck and an SH-4 JB in the bridge. They both sound immense. And really work well together.  Neck dead straight, truss rod fine and plenty of life left in the frets. No breaks or repairs etc, just a good vintage feel. It does have some play wear with little nicks here & there, some edge wear and some fine finish checking around the back of the headstock. Comes with what looks like an old 90’s tan Gibson Les Paul HSC which has had the tolex removed but still works and functions fine.  Anyway I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story. This is a very cool Epi, you won’t see many around like this one…

We carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of actual guitar, we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
